Six Gram, Adjustable, Self Cocking Loaded, Bodied, Wagglers.

 A mate of mine has asked for a couple of bodied wagglers for a still water mission he is currently preparing for and one I will be tagging along on.

The floats he has requested are......

 Six Gram Adjustable, Self Cocking Loaded, Bodied, Wagglers.

I have never made an adjustable version before and enjoyed the new build.

The four floats below (Two for me) are based on balsa with an olive green body, black and white lift segments and a fluorescent orange tip. Threads used on this build were black, grey and gold.










The Six Gram Adjustable, Self Cocking Loaded, Bodied, Wagglers above will also be perfect for a deep, slow flowing river I will be fishing this summer with Salford Pete and a few others. On this river the float will be used as a slider due to the rivers depth but by adding all the floats brass weights I can also use it as a long distance waggler if the fish come up in the water.

Lathe Made Pike Bobber - First Effort. . . .😊

This is the first float to come off my new mini lathe. Its an old style " Pike Bobber Float " for live and dead baiting. It is a steep learning curve but, at last, I feel I have something to show all of you. 😊 Cork bodied (turned by myself ) with a birch stem. Jay feather inlay with two  satelliting jungle cock feathers. Fluorescent pink paint and a brass eye. This is how it looked fresh off the lathe . . . . As I said its a steep learning curve for me: 1) Using a lathe.  2) Working with cork. Both had their challenges but a feel I have come out of the other side with a pretty good effort. With a little more practise I feel I can get this pattern looking a much better. This is how it looks now. What do you think ? 😊 Any constructive criticism is always welcome. River Irwell PB On A New Mini- Alloy Stem Avon

 Hi all, I had a short session to test some Mini-Alloy Stem Avons out this morning and ... BOY.......AM I GLAD I DID !!!!!! I hoped down to the SFAs stretch of the Irwell to hopfully grab some grayling pictures with my new trotters. It was a smash and grab raid as I was taking out  T.O.W.M.B.O. (THE ONE WHO MUST BE OBAYED) out for an early Valentines Dinner. (So Im frantically witting this blog as Dudds has put me under some considerable pressure to get it to you tonight) 😆 I got up late to throw a spanner in the works as well. I managed a few coats of paint on some other floats I am currently making then it was off to the river. I had a few grayling within the first ten minutes so my pictures were in the bag early doors. 😁 I checked my pictures and concluded they where what I was after and therefore could now relax for the next hour, enjoying the peace of being out in the fresh air as the new avon meandered along then bobed under  "Hmm another lady I thought"...... the the
