Hello there... Some more lock down floats. Here we have some more " Glow In The Dark Porcupine Quills". These are fiddly to make but the finished float is worth the effort. Finished with black and burgundy whippings these floats will be partnered with a can rod for some still water action, hopefully , when the lock down has finished. Apologies to all. I have been off the fishing seen for a few months due to family and work commitments. Below are a prial of  " Glow In The Dark Porcupine Quills " These are slightly different than the first set.  Great for medium to close quarters fishing for tench and carp. These floats charge up by leaving them in the sun or shining an LED light on them for a while. They work by absorbing UV light , storinging the the energy, then giving the energy off slow as light giving you the glow in the dark affect. I love making these quills but don't often do so. I must admit ....... Its the first time I have made Segmented Glow In The Dark Porcupine Quills. These three will be spending there life in Sweden chasing big crucians and tench. These are small floats taking approximately 3BB, are ideal for fishing the lift method at close quarters and great for fishing in low light or zero light conditions, a real bonus when fish are feeding into the darkness. A phosphorescent pigment was used to give the glow in the dark effect.     Basically, the phosphorescent pigment works by trapping the suns energy in crystals. Once the crystals are charged by sunlight the energy is then released as a glow of light giving you the glow in the dark affect.
