Antenne Wagglers-5BB

Image
Morning all, I have managed to finish these wagglers this morning. The lollipop style float is mine for a local lake I fish for tench and mixed species, the other eight floats are for someone else. Once more balsa and hardwood make up the body of the floats. Eyes have been excluded from this build as rubber float connectors will be used. Stained, painted in slate grey with black and gold whippings these floats are now my go to still water float when fishing depths of less than six feet, a very sensitive float, great when maggot, caster or punch fishing. My self and "Salford Pete" should be having a social session on a local commie next week so I should get a few fish and float pictures fir a blog. Mini Feather Inlay Sight Bob Wagglers

Image
Hi all, My usual Sight Bob Wagglers are a medium to large in size.  The set below set are much smaller taking just under 3 BB for close quarters  work. I have made two versions in the same size, metallic blue and solid grey with various tip colours, threads used were black, gold, violet & red. I'm looking forward to using these on a couple of tench waters I have been meaning to fish for years but just never found the time. I'm am hoping to take my dad along as it has been years since we have been tench fishing together. I have included a picture next to a Large Sight Bob Waggler to give you some idea of the size difference. I have also heard that two of my local waters have just been restocked by Salford Friendly Anglers so I will also be having a drop on there in the near future TTFN   Peanut.   If you would like to look at my handcrafted  click on the link below.      https://purplepeanut007.blogspot.com/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-and-fishing.html?m=1       Join our club

New Waggler Float Tube Whipped & Feathered

Image
For some time now I have wanted to make something to protect my  " Slim Waggler " The obvious choice for me was a float tube, so, with my initial float tube success still fresh in my mind from my first model I was fairly confident I would be able to produce another half decent tube. The new tube below is again made from a single block of pine with brass hinges, violet & gold whippings plus a feather for a little added colour. Tube dimensions are : Length 285mm Internal Diameter 20mm Outside Diameter 35mm The tube has a 20mm hole which fits around seven of my new wagglers, plus, it can double up as a  pike float tube as it fits a single 25 - 30 g pike slider perfectly. 😁 The best thing for me is that I have something a little prettier than an industrial plastic tube to transport my new creations in whilst fishing. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 TTFN Peanut. Straight Wagglers Ready For The New River Season. 😊

Image
I haven't made my straight wagglers for quite some time now. Below are a prial in pink with black, purple and gold whipping, plus a jay feather inlay. All floats are 5AAA weight capacjty These are great on a rivers for slowing the bait down at distance by fishing over depth. Ideal for maggots, casters, bread, pellet etc. 😊 On still waters / commercials they are great for distance fishing up in the water on pellet, bread corn as well as the above baits These replace the pellet waggler when little more finesse is required. Also great for people with bad eyes like me . . .  Lol. 😁 I will be using one of these on the River Irwell come June 16th looking for the beam and carp. These have eluded me over the last few years although I did manage one a few years ago at a Salford Friendly Anglers meet organised by the Caster Man. It is still my PB bream at 6lb 11oz Caught on a Retro Stick float Black as coal. An absolutely STUNNIN
