Afternoon all,  I have just been puttting the finishing touches on another pair of "Antennae Bodied Wagglers" This set are aimed at catching Tench and Crucians at a close to medium distance. I have recently been using these floats for paste and conventional maggot/worm fishing down the side and I must say they have performed very well so far,. The colour graduations on the float helping a great deal with bite detection.  Another pair have made without eyes so they may be attached via a rubber band or a silicone adaptor. Afternoon all,  I haven't been fishing since before Christmas !!!!!! but this morning I felt the urge for a tench, so, grabbed some kit and hi-tailed it off to a new tench lake I have just been informed about. My float was a 4BB boddied, lollypop lifter, ideal for short to medium distance in shallowish water. Within 30 minutes, after plenty of bits and a few ide I was into a good tench....a very good one infact but unfortunately, after a few seconds it slipped the hook.... and left me swearing loudly at anyone or thing in the immediate vicinity!!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆 I was gutted.  That was a belting fish!!!! I won't lie.....the next two hours was a struggle.  I was picking up a few bits every know and then but nothing much was happening and I was ready for home. I call off a good friend persuaded me to give it another half an hour....good job really!!!!!!  A change to double worm tipped with red maggot got me into my second tench hook up of the session. I made no mist...

 More Antenne Wagglers this week. Two at 5AAA & Two at 5BB. All in 50:50 blue paint with an oak stain plus black and gold whhippings. As stated previoisly I use mine mainly for silver fishing on slow moving rivers but it is equally at home on a lake or reservior fishing for roach tench and bream.  Morning all, I fancied making some more "5AAA Antennae Wagglers" as they are my go to float on slow running rivers fishing for roach and bream down the middle wind permitting. I have  just finished four in charcoal & slate grey with black and rose gold whippings. Just as they were complete I recieved a phone call from "The Caster Man" "Alrite mate. Av ya got any of these in semi-loaded roach floats?  "I lost mine in a tree last year". 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😆 If I had known I could have made these semi-loaded for him. Guess I will be busy making some semi-loaded ones in the near future!!!!  Morning all, I have made a set of six of the 4g variant this time. The brass loading is adjustable to a maximum of 4g +. Without shot the floats cock to the tip of the body. This set of six have blue bodies, white and black collars with fluorescent orange, pink and black tips. Only two threads used on these which are black and gold. Really good for fishing at distance on the drop. No locking shot required just double up with the float stops. Im just about to finish one of for myself in charcoal grey with a slightly different finish. TTFN.      Peanut.
