Purplepeanut007 PP007 FLOAT MAKING & FISHING ADVENTURES - THE RIVER IRWELL AND BEYOND.

To day was the day that myself and Salford Pete were heading off over to the wrong side of the hills, up the M67 and over to Yorkshire. Our target for the day were  Yorkshire Ladies . . . .  Ladies if the stream that is . . . . .  Otherwise known as. . . . . GRAYLING !!!!!!!! Being born and bred Mancunians grayling are a foreign species to us and, unfortunately neither of us have bagged one on our travels.  ( Well. . . . . I have had one from Lymm Vale but I don't count still water grayling ) We were meeting a friend of mine and a new member of my float making group on face book, Jordan O'Halloran, a local Yorkshire lad with bags of knowledge regarding ladies. 😉😉😉😉😉😉 ( Dont tell the Mrs.... 🤣 ) We met around 08.00 on the River Don. Unfortunately, the river was high, coloured and pushing through at a fair old rate of knots. Not the best grayling conditions but this trip was planned months ago so we all decided to give it a go. I don't make many cork pike floats and fancied trying a blend of styles mixing new with old so, with that in mined I have made my first attempt at a new pattern. 😊 Below is a  . . . .  Cork Boddied In-Line Pike Bobber. It has a hollow carbon shaft for the line to slide through enabling the angler to fish at any depth. ( If anyone can think of a natural hollow tube to use plesse let me know ) I have also added a large sight bob, hopefully it can the be used for both pike and perch when  live bait fishing. Cock the float to the largest dome for pike fishing with larger live baits and to the sight bob for smaller live baits for perch and jack pike. It has to be tested yet but I do not see why it can not be used for both styles. Finished in fluorescrnt red / pink , black, gold and violet whippings plus a nice feather for further decoration. I rather like this design myself. I just need some nice fish and float picures now to go on the fish and
