Large Glow In The Dark Carp Stalkers

Image
Ready to go. . . . . . . .  This quartet of  " Large Glow In The Dark Carp Stalkers " are again made of reed. (one of my fav.materials at the moment) All floats are finished in black, gold, turquoise and violet thread. These four floats take approximately 3AAA and are an ideal for slightly larger baits such as small pellet and bread fishing, also, if you are a river angler like myself they are ideal for short to medium distance river work on slow to medium paced rivers with a variety of baits. Great for the witching hour when the light is fading and you want that extra time fishing into the darkness. Inserted Feather Inlay Wagglers

Image
A set of six inserted wagglers withe day glow pink and yellow tips, all with feather inlays. These tend to be a summer float for me.  I use this patterm for fishing on the drop and up in the water on lakes and rivers. This particular set takes approximately 4AAA plus in weight each to cock the float. Never any stress making these . . . .  In fact its like therapy for me  Lol. Until the next time. . . . .  TTFN Peanut. Manchester Perch Hunt Part 2

Image
A long awaited trip saw me trundle off down the M62 motorway to meet Neil Johnson for a perch hunt we organised a quite a while ago. I got up late so the traffic was terrible on the motorway but I arrived . . . . eventually . . . .at Neils perch pool.  I had not seen Neil for over 12 months so we said are hellos and quickly caught up with things . . . .he makes a lovely cuppa which we had two of while we swapped a few fishy tales while setting up our kit. Not to mention a bacon buttie !!!!!!!! They like to take care of themselves these specimen boys don't they lol  ! ! ! ! ! 🥓🥓🥓🍽🍽🍽 We were live baiting for perch today using my larger perch bobers. I was named as  " Head bit basher " and was in charge of catching the live bait we were to be using for this session while Neil chucked a few lures about. My bait tray consisted of pinkies and a little ground bait. Just what you would expect to catch some small silvers on. I resisted the temptation to u...

Inserted wagglers with Feather Inlays

Image
Inseted Wagglers are great around floats. Most anglers will have used these for years in many different guises Great on still waters or rivers. I will always have a selection of these in my bag. These floats can be used for most situations from pellet and maggot fishing on commercial fisheries to big river fishing I use mine mainly on rivers in the summer fishing up in the water, on the drop with maggots, casters and hemp to tempt silver fish such as roach, dace and chub. The set below has been made in specific sizes and colours for various situations. I hope you like them. A day out on Inserted Wagglers with The Casterman. The full blog. ( an old one ) http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/peanut-vs-casterman-silver-dolla-race.html?m=1 A modest 10 lb catch of river roach I don't mine TOO much when I get schooled off " The Casterman " 😕 16 lb  of roach Never mined the lucky result Derek. The floats wo...

Glow In The Dark Reversible, Feather Inlay, Sliding Pike Pencils For Alll Light Conditions.

Image
Hopefully I have covered the majority of conditions with the colour scheme of the next batch of . . . . . .  Glow In The Dark Reversible, Feather Inlay Sliding Pike Pencils. The prial above and below are made from balsa, finished with black, purple and gold thread. The paints used are glow in the dark yellow / black and all have a feather inlayed onto the float.  These three floats take approximately 30 g in weight and, in my opinion, will cover most light conditions when out piking on the float.  The first model of of these floats got a hook up straight away when used on the local canal. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/pike-slider-christaning.html?m=1 Lets hope these three have the same effect.  All of these floats will be used on the river Wye and I am more than interested in their performance over the pike season. Hopefully I will have a few pictures of fish and float to show you all in the near future....
