Mini Feather Inlay Sight Bob Wagglers

Image
Hi all, My usual Sight Bob Wagglers are a medium to large in size.  The set below set are much smaller taking just under 3 BB for close quarters  work. I have made two versions in the same size, metallic blue and solid grey with various tip colours, threads used were black, gold, violet & red. I'm looking forward to using these on a couple of tench waters I have been meaning to fish for years but just never found the time. I'm am hoping to take my dad along as it has been years since we have been tench fishing together. I have included a picture next to a Large Sight Bob Waggler to give you some idea of the size difference. I have also heard that two of my local waters have just been restocked by Salford Friendly Anglers so I will also be having a drop on there in the near future TTFN   Peanut.   If you would like to look at my handcrafted  click on the link below.      https://purplepeanut007.blogspot.com/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-and-fishing.html?m=1       Join our club

Straight Still Water Wagglers

Image
While I have been off work I have managed to finish a few on going projects. Here is the latest, Straight Still Water Wagglers. Two red/ pink and one orange. Once more made from reed and finished in pearlescent, metallic purple with black, gold and crimson threads, these will be at home on  natural or commercial still waters suspending larger baits like pellet, corn or bread etc I have included, in the pictures below, an olive green river waggler.  The basic difference between the still water floats and the river floats is the tip length. River floats have longer tip colours for dragging baits on the deck for when a really slow trot is require. River waggler. I need to get some fishing with one of these so I can get a few nice pictures for the blog. Grayling Bobbers

Image
I was asked to make some  grayling bobbers  for a friend.  I have to be honest and say there is not much difference between these and my standard  perch bobbers accept that the stems are weighted to help with casting and to present the bait properly in running water. These are finished in fluorescent red / pink and orange with black, gold and purple thread plus a jay feather for decoration. I hope you like them. 😁 The smaller bobbers take around 3 AAA. The larger, orange grayling bobber takes around 6AAA TTFN   Peanut.      If you would like to look at my handcrafted  click on the link below.      https://purplepeanut007.blogspot.com/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-and-fishing.html?m=1        Join our club......Its FREE  !!!!!!!    http://salfordfriendlyanglers.co.uk/join/

Below are my first floats of 2019. I started these over the Christmas period in between projects. Not a matching set but all good to go. Three glow in the dark yellow perch bobbers plus a day glow orange one. All with feather inlays.  All take 3AAA apart from the large one which is 6 AAA.

I have had another crack at this pattern using a few different threads. Black ,gold, violet and a new addition to my thread box. . . . . " Metallic grey " 😁 I have another half a dozen of these on the go with slightly different thread colours which should be ready at the beginning if the new year. I was not to sure how the metallic grey thread would work out but it looks good to me.... What do you think ? Reversible Pike Sliders - A New Colour Combination & Modification.

Image
I have made this style of  30g reversible pike slider a couple of times before but never with a red/pink and black tip combination. The pair below have been also been modified slightly and this modification will be the norm on my future slider floats. The small modification is a slightly elongated tip 50 % of which I have left bare of paint. I did this so the float can readily except Korda Shok Beads . . . . . With and without picture Why ????????? I here you say. This is for added protection . . . . . When the float slides down to the weights / beads at the bottom of the rig. A small modification as I have said but one which will increase the longevity of the float I think. 😁 These work well for both for  dead  and live baits.........  I may be using them in the sea with a certain someone if I can get my timing right. You know who you are. 😊 TTFN Peanut. If you would like to look at my handcrafted floats just
