50:50 Black Alloy Stem 3g Avons

 Hi all,

I have been meaning to make some black avons for a while but just never git round to it.

These are heavier that the first coming in at approximately 3g

All have an alloy stem, balsa body and a hardwood tip, the body is 50:50 black/stain with white a white collar and fluorecent pink tips. Threads are black and crimson.

These are to be used on deeper rivers using bulk shot and some droppers mainly for roach but bream and chub may put an appearance in at some point.

Below is a picture of the last time I had a session on the river in question fishing a bodied waggler at dustance. If I combine the two methods, on the right day, I estimate I could produce 40 lb in about 4 hours.

Roll on the new season.

PS:

Below is a size comparision picture of the two alloy stem float patterns I have recently made.
