In-line Reversible Glow In The Dark Pike/Cat Slider

 Morning all,

I have a new take on an older float to show you today.

An In-line, Reversible, GlowIn The Dark Pike/Cat Slider.

I have made a similar float to the one picture/ link below but this time it has an internal tube so it can be fished:

(This version is eyed at both ends).

1. As a pike slider either live or dead baiting.

2. Live baiting for catfish near similar to dumbell rigs.

3: Sea fishing. We have two specific species in mind. 

If you know or follow me you will know I am not into specimen fishing really but a mate of mine, Andy Boyne is !!!!

This float is made to his specific design/ measurements and will also see action in the sea but I will let that story unfold later on this year!!!!

Float Size 40 x 2.2 cms.



Paints used were Day glow fluorescent red/pink, glow in the dark yellow. Black thread was the only colour used on this design.
 
Andy will be taking this one through its paces, either on the Ribble or a large local reservoir fishing initiall for pike, informing me if any changes/ improvements are required before I make a several more.
Hopefully he will catch one of these toothy critters!!!!!

The next step, targeting certain sea fish species will be very interesting and I will be accompanying him on both trips.

Andy has very kindly offered to make me a 

"Proper Rod" 

as he calls them so I can accompany him on this quest and not feel under gunned.

This is definately something I will be looking forward to.

Lathe Made Pike Bobber - First Effort. . . .😊

This is the first float to come off my new mini lathe. Its an old style " Pike Bobber Float " for live and dead baiting. It is a steep learning curve but, at last, I feel I have something to show all of you. 😊 Cork bodied (turned by myself ) with a birch stem. Jay feather inlay with two  satelliting jungle cock feathers. Fluorescent pink paint and a brass eye. This is how it looked fresh off the lathe . . . . As I said its a steep learning curve for me: 1) Using a lathe.  2) Working with cork. Both had their challenges but a feel I have come out of the other side with a pretty good effort. With a little more practise I feel I can get this pattern looking a much better. This is how it looks now. What do you think ? 😊 Any constructive criticism is always welcome.
