 Morning all,

I have been promising myself that I would make some more...

"Heavy Irwell Sticks With Hardwood Stems"

 since the trip to the River Wye with John Derbyshire.

A couple of weeks ago I managed to get on the lathe and get some bodies turned.

These come in at 6.5g and I will be making some larger ones a.s.a.p.

These floats proved extremely usefull when shallow water trotting on the faster stretches of the Wye in Herefordshire.

The fish (above) were caught holding back hard then letting the float travel down the swim about half the pace of the river on large pieces of lucheon meat

I am also going to try these on the River Ribble this winter and should also double up as perch live bait floats
