Inverted, Segmented, Porcupine Quills

 Hi all,

Another float I have not made for quite a while is the

" Inverted, Segmented, Porcupine Quill"

The pair below are eight inches in length which are, I would say, medium in size. The larger 12" quills are becoming quite difficult to to source.

Paints are Fluorescent Orange & White. Threads used are black and pale blue. The quills are finished off, as usual with a hand turned brass eye.

These floats are a relatively simple floats to make compared to most other patterns as nature has pepared the body for you. All that is needed is a litttle sanding, however, the segmented sections do take more time to paint and whip.

A very versitle float which an be used as a sensitive standard or count down waggler on still or running water.

. . . . . . . . . . .

Here are a few older float pics. and fish captures on the Inverted Quills.
