Old School Quills

I have recently been asked to make a pair of Porcupine Quills for different light conditions. After a long conversation it was decided that the required quills would be inverted with one having a white and black tip, the other having a black and white tip.

The thread colours were left in my hands so I opted for burgundy and black with a tiny splash of gold near the brass eye.

Finished today these will probably be use next season for crucians and tench but may be used this winter for perch......

I have really enjoyed making this pair and may make a few others with different thread colours.

I will be eagerly awaiting some feed back from this pair and hopefully get some fish and float pictures for my blog page below.
