Irwell Sticks For The Rivers Don & Douglas.

Busy with these at the moment . . . . but I love making them.

My favourite float . . .

" The Irwell.Stick "
The
" Irwell Stick "
was designed for fishing shallow river runs
but is also been used as a general float for most species.
John Derbyshire even uses them on the pole for margin fishing.
They are at their best fishing 2 - 4 feet deep through slightly pacey run on a river or some where a standard sized alloy stick would struggle due to the extra pace and shallower water.

I personally performed quite well using these last summer.
😉
The above caught on halibut pellet using  heavy Irwell stick
( 4BB approximately)

Below my first grayling from the Don on the same float.
😁
 Until the next time. . . . .
