A Ribble Addicts 8g Irwell Sticks.

 Morning all,

I have finished four new floats for the new river season. The larger pair of 8g Irwell Stick Floats will be primerily used in conjuction with meat & paste on the faster shallow runs of the River Ribble bulk shotted for chub and barbel.


The smaller 3.5g pair will be used for maggot and casters in some pacey runs for the roach and dace.

All four floats were finished in balsa with hardwood stems, paints used were white, charcoal grey and the relative fluorescent paints, orange, red/pink.

Threads used were black and pale blue.



I and others have had a lot of success in the past with this style of float and are a staple for my own river float box.

Morning all, Still stocking up on "Inserted Sticks" for silver fishing on the rivers. These three are constructed of balsa, carbon and wooden tips for slow running, deeper rivers.
