Mini - Porcupine Quill Perch Bobber

Image
I have been meaning to make one of these for quite some time. Its a . . . . . " Mini - Perch Bobber With A Porcupine Quill Stem"  I have made this a small one because it will be used for general coarse fishing on rivers and lakes for many different species and takes 3.6 gram to cock it to the white band. I will be using it as a maggot float on the river the next time I am out......may be snare my first Manchester Grayling with it if the river gods shine on me !!!!!!!!! Anyway I hope you like it . . . . . . 😁 I was supposed to be trying this float last Sunday on a large wild water with  John Derbyshire........ Unfortunately I had to let him down. 😔😔😔😕😕😕 Sorry pal, We will get out soon. 😁 TTFN Peanut If you would like to look at my handcrafted floats just hit the link. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-2017.html?m=1 Join our club Its free !!!!!! http://salfordfriendl...

Jumbo, Sliding, Inline Pacemaker With A Double Feather Inlay, Finished in Metallic, Pearlescent, Racing Green

Image
My next float has been made for a very specific swim on a north west river. It is a . . . .   Double Feather Inlay, Internal Slider finished in Metallic, Pearlescent Racing Green With Gold, Imperial Purple and Black Whippings. This float takes approximately  7 swan / 11.2 g and is intended as a big fish float ie barbel, chub, salmon etc. but I have a feeling it will be use to catch some else very large........ Unfortunately you will have to wait and see what it is......like me  !!!!!!!!! 😉 I hope you get some right lumps with this  Mr Boyne. 😉 TTFN Peanut If you would like to look at my handcrafted floats just hit the link. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-2017.html?m=1 Join our club Its free !!!!!! http://salfordfriendlyanglers.co.uk/join/

Large, Revesable, Sliding, Inline, Feather Inlay, Glow In The Dark Pike Pencil, 30 g

Image
As promised, this is the big brother version of the  17g Reversible Pike Pencil I made a couple of weeks ago. The floats are approximately 22cms long with  Glow In The Dark Yellow tips  and  Day Glow Fluorescent Orange Tips. They also have a hollow center to allow the floats to be used as sliders, therefore, fishable at any depth. Great for any deep, fresh water pedator fishing. Here are some comparison pictures of the 17g float VS the 30 g float. 😊 Baby pike pencil blog post link. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/a-reversible-glow-in-dark-feather-inlay.html?m=1 TTFN Peanut If you would like to look at my handcrafted floats just hit the link. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-2017.html?m=1 Join our club Its free !!!!!! http://salfordfriendlyanglers.co.uk/join/

Feather Inlay, Inserted Wagglers

Image
Here are five, six inch, Feather Inlay, Inserted Wagglers  I have recently completed boasting five different types of feather. I used one of these last week on the river. The float performed better than the angler . . . . . . LOL but I still managed a few. 😁 http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/peanut-vs-casterman-silver-dolla-race.html?m=1 I am currently working on a different, more taditional style of straight waggler. It should be ready in a week or two. 😁 TTFN Peanut If you would like to look at my handcrafted floats just hit the link. http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/handcrafted-floats-2017.html?m=1 Join our club Its free !!!!!! http://salfordfriendlyanglers.co.uk/join/

New, Inline, Glow In The Dark, Perch Bobber.

Image
A first for me. 😁 Below is my first Inline Perch Bobber. It also has glow in the dark paint and a double feather inlay. It is the same size as my standard bobbers which are  3 - 6 AAA  depending on how you would like it shotted. ( See link below for standard perch bobbers  ) http://purplepeanut007.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/double-set-of-fluoro-perch-bobbers.html?m=1 I constructed this float to fish on four waters I may be targeting. One is a river which I have just blogged about. Two are reservoirs and the final water is a club lake holding a good head of eels 😊 I would love to catch a big eel, on purpose, on the float. I have had eels to 4 1/2 lbs ledgering but were accidental captures. I would like to purposely target them and catch a 3 lb plus fish for starters. On the other waters I will be after perch . . . . . May be roach to !!!!!!!! They are virgin waters to me so I am not really sure to be honest . 😁 Here are the rest...
